Destiny. That's the only thing that can describe the Georgia Bulldogs' invitation to the 2006 Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl is normally held at the Louisiana Superdome but after Hurricane Katrina plagued New Orleans in 2005, the Sugar Bowl was relocated to Atlanta Georgia, the home of the Bulldogs. Destiny. The Bulldogs made their second Sugar Bowl appearance in four years since 2005 and it certainly looked like the Georgia Bulldogs simply played out what destiny has given them. There was only one problem though. The West Virginia Mountaineers, who made its first BCS appearance, played three times in the Sugar Bowl before the said encounter. The first time can be sweet and these Mountaineers surely knew that too well. The 2nd of January, 2006, the 2006 Sugar Bowl was waged and the taste of destiny was felt by the Georgia Bulldogs, as well as the sweet satisfaction of a first BCS appearance for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
