2008 FIESTA BOWL
Two champions by tradition faced-off last year at the 2006 Fiesta Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish returned to the Bowl Championship Series at the site of its last appearance five years ago from the 2005 season, with it's last national title in 1989. The Ohio State Buckeyes will be making their third appearance in four years since 2005. It seems fate has decided to pit these teams together.
